Meet ANTHONY
I want to give back and help others experience the positive effects of professional support, like I have.
My approach
I believe that every person I work with is different and unique, whether in your life history or in how you experience and function in the world. Hence, I don't believe there is a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy that will suit you along with everyone else. I enjoy tailoring my approach to suit each person and your unique needs and desired goals. If we work together, I will do my best to create an open and safe space for you to discuss your concerns. I will try and help you reconnect with what is important to you, and tap into your strengths to help you build confidence and motivation. I draw on various cognitive behavioural therapies, including the practice of mindfulness and self-compassion. I will encourage you to be open to learning through experience, to be curious and to adopt the skills that work best for you.
From beginning to end, our time together is collaborative, supportive, informative, interactive and always focused on what you ultimately want to achieve with our time together.
About me
For as far back as I can remember I have always had a particular interest in human nature and the human experience. I had faced some challenging times in the past and seen others struggle with similar concerns, which had motivated me to understand and learn from these experiences. When I saw the positive impact psychology had had on my life, and considered the value this could have for others, I returned to studying and completed my undergraduate degree in psychology and a masters degree in clinical psychology. I have since worked in community and private clinics supporting a diverse range of clients.
I look forward to helping you deepen your understanding of your experience, to build your capacity to meet your own needs through difficult times and support you to move towards what matters most in your life.
